The show consisted of three weekly segments--The Popeye Show, which starred Popeye, Olive, and Bluto and Wimpy; Private Olive Oyl, in which Popeye's girlfriend stars as a clumsy army private, with Bertha Blast as Olive's short-tempered seargent, bumbling Alice the Goon, and Colonel Crumb; and Prehistoric Popeye, with Popeye trying to contend with caveman situations before the availability of cans of spinach.
