This cartoon was produced and aired in Japan in 1980. It was not until the 1990's that it made its way onto a US network. The tiny elf-like characters lived in a forest. Lilla Bit was an orphan and lived with the local doctor. Other characters included the mayor's bossy son, a hedgehog, a flying squirrel, and an evil witch.
