It's not quite 40 years...lol- but getting close. It's only been 35 years since 1980.........
wow- that's kind of crazy how long ago those times were- but funny how sometimes it still feels like yesterday.
And for some of our members, perhaps it Feels like the First Time. Smile Cool

okay, gotcha. Laughing
(But those of us who are closer to that time period than others like to be pretty exact about it. Wink No need to be rushing things and being any older than we have to be-lol. My body ages physically, but mentally I'm still a kid- and spiritually I'm being renewed day by day in Christ (as 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 talks about.) Smile Cool

Yeah, I know what you mean, my friend.

Time can be a tyrant, but it's also our main source of experience Wink

It's all good- I enjoy every moment God gives me. Very Happy Cool
Here's a relevant favorite quote from "Star Trek: Generations" that I like.

Riker: I'm going to miss this ship; she went before her time.

Picard: Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. But I rather believe than time is a companion who goes with us on the journey, and reminds us to cherish every moment because they'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important how we lived. After all, Number One, we're only mortal.

Riker: [smiling] Speak for yourself, sir. I plan to live forever.

Funny that Riker should be the one to have said that line. I think his was the first career to quickly die after TNG. Laughing

Jonathan Frakes still gets work- he hasn't had a series since ST:TNG though- it's mostly been guest star roles.
But he's also been doing more directing work behind the camera recently, so that's one reason you may not see him on screen as much anymore.
But yeah- I can see the ironic humor. Laughing
I love Star Trek- and especially Star Trek: The Next Generation. That's my all-time favorite series (of the Star Trek series) and Riker is one of my all-time favorite characters. Very Happy Cool
