Riker (1981) TV Series

Does anyone remember this violent cop show from 1981? I remember watching with my dad and loving this show. IT was really brutal, like if the film Magnum Force was to be a TV show! Every episode was action packed and ended with bloody shootouts. I can barely find any info about the show, even less people that recall watching it! Im assuming after its initial broadcast run it was never picked up again for re-broadcast, which is especially weird for an early 80s cop show from the USA. I bet it was just to violent for its time, but thats what the appeal was!

So, anyone else out there remember Riker? anybody know where to maybe find a grey market dvd of the episodes? Id love to watch this again with my Father if I can find it!

Never saw this one. The only Riker I know is Commander William T. Riker on "Star Trek: The Next Generation".
This show sounds interesting though- Josh Taylor starred as Frank Riker and he later went on to star as Michael Hogan on "Valerie"/"Valerie's Family"/"The Hogan Family" (that show went through three different names in its run).
It may be kinda hard to find much on it though since it only ran for 5 episodes in the spring of 1981. Here are a few articles I found on it-

Thanks for the info and links guys! Unfortunately this seems like one series that may not be out there at all! I hope that I can find it some day so I can watch it with my Dad again! He actually brings it up every so often, I guess the brutality of the show and the era it was made really stuck with his memory. Hes a big Bronson fan and loves Italian crime flicks! If anyone ever comes across Riker for sale or trade with one of your contacts or on a site somewhere, please let me know! Id trade a copy of everything in my inventory (well over 100 rare unreleased toons and 100s of rare films) for all 6 episodes of Riker!
