|
|
| I can't think of the name of this series I don't think it is Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, but I remmember an episode about a vain prince who sees his reflection as hideous because he is ugly inside, then a Giant forces him to live a life of poverty to change it. He eventually falls in love with a princess and has to save her and the giant grants him an entire magic army that he calls out some how. There were alot of other stories like that but I don't remmember them being main stream stories like the ones in Grimm's Fairy Tales. Hope some one can help it's killing me.

Possibly an episode of
Classic Tales from Around the World (76)
a.k.a. Manga Fairy Tales of the World
a.k.a. Animated fairy-tales from around the world
a.k.a. Manga Sekai Mukashibanashi
a.k.a. Manga Nippon Mukashi Banashi
It was a long running series of fairy tales. Each was made by a
different group of animators, in a different style
I've found two different openings to two
similarly titled series

| neither of the openings looks familiar but the concept looks right. The episode I remember seems vaguely like the story of Narcissus but only to a point. If I could find episode lists or guides or a streaming website to see them that may help. I have kids now and I think they would get a kick out of shows I loved as a kid

| I think I located a clue. I believe the episode I saw was based on the Grimm Fairy Tale Iron Hans.

| OOOOKKKAYYYY, I guess I'm an idiot because I finally tracked down the cartoon I was looking for. It turns out that it is Grimm's Fairy Tales and the name of the episode is "The Man of Iron" I guess my memory was cloudier than I thought.
