Hi Folks,
I'm trying to remeber the name of a UK Saturday morning cartoon in the 80's (although its possible it was in the late 70's).
I can't remeber much about the cartoon. It was a sci-fi space based cartoon. The abiding memories I have are just a couple of things....
1.The 'baddies' spaceships where 'base' ships in that individual fighters attached to them, hanging from the central skeletal body ot the mothership
2.There was a mysterious spaceship in the story backgroud that was like a pirate galleon in space...
I know its not much to go on, but anyone got any ideas, its driving me nuts!
Thanks, Paddy

Are you sure it was a cartoon?
Here's a puppet series that might fit your description.
