Right now: Kissyfur.

I still don't get the whole "mushy stuff" thing that supposedly got one episode banned, but I find the show just as enjoyable as ever.

What about you?

Nice! I really like this thread idea. Very Happy Cool

Sadly, I haven't watched an '80s cartoon in a while..... but reminiscing about my favorites to recommend in another thread has made me want to watch some again.
I've never seen Kissyfur but I've run across VHS tapes of it at thrift stores- it looks like a cute, sweet show.
Oh wait- I know. I have watched an '80s cartoon in recent weeks. This particular series started in the '70s, but ran well into the '80s and the episodes I watched recently were '80s ones- and of course, that would be- SuperFriends. Very Happy Cool

I used to love Kissyfur because of the excellent theme song. I haven't seen it in ages though.

Lately I have been watching episodes of Dino-riders on Youtube. The cartoon itself was nothing to write home about, but the corresponding toy line was wonderful. I wonder what happened to the ones I used to own because I would love to bust out the pterodactyl figure. It is hard to have a bad day when you have toy dinosaurs. Smile

Awesome! Dino-Riders is a fun '80s cartoon. (One of a few about dinosaurs- there was also Dinosaucers and Denver, The Last Dinosaur. And of course, The Flintstone Kids had Dino and other dinosaurs in there.)
And nice to see you posting here again, squidbee! Smile Cool

Denver the Last Dinosaur was one of the few cartoons that had a character named Jeremy, so I had to rally behind that show. My name is woefully underrepresented in popular culture.

I'm glad to be back. Smile

Your post on another thread reminded me that there was also Dink, The Little Dinosaur cartoon series. And of course, "The Land Before Time" movie that came out in 1988 helped spur the dinosaur craze along. (And that, after like 15 million sequels [or maybe not quite that much- lol], got its own cartoon series on TV eventually too- but not until the 2000s, I believe.)
Yeah, I can't think of too many Jeremys in popular culture either, or even Jeremiahs. There's a movie called "Jeremiah Johnson" starring Robert Redford. And of course, according to Three Dog Night, Jeremiah was a bullfrog. Laughing (who, I guess, helps bring Joy to the World.) Of course, the One I know who brought Joy to the World, according to Isaac Watts (that would be Jesus, of course)- was prophesied about in a Bible book called Jeremiah. Smile Cool
And you can always watch Jeremy Miller as Ben Seaver on "Growing Pains"- a show I highly recommend. Smile Cool
(And if you want some '90s nostalgia, you can also catch Jeremy in a few early episodes of "Ghostwriter".)
Cool
Word!

Poor, poor Land Before Time. It started off strong, and then it became just a poor man's Disney with forgettable songs. Sad

Sadly, true. I own the first one (still think it is excellent) and have, in the (long ago) past (like from Blockbuster) rented parts 2 and 3 and BOY! did the quality drop fast! I can also recommend The Secret of NIMH.

We are currently going through the series 1 DVD's of The Real Ghostbusters, however, for the next few days, it's on the backburner with the Euro's on.

Once they are over with, we'll get back to more 80's cartoons.

Still trying to get re-organized after moving into my new home. Smile

But I definitely want to start putting a dent into my collection and what I have and haven't watched yet.

I've just recently been watching Inspector Gadget with my nieces and nephews. Very Happy Cool (One of my all-time '80s favorites.)

Just started watching COPS volume 2 again. I know, but we don't have volume 1 yet, and Amazon are out of stock, but as soon as they get them back, bam, bought.

It's a very good romp.

Big Boss is very campy, and talks funny. And as per 80's style, the moral is that crime doesn't pay, which I know first hand.

Can't comment on the series as a whole, with not having volume 1 yet, but it is quite enjoyable what we have seen.

You've never seen COPS? Oh, you should definitely check it out. This was one of my favorites as a kid. The villians are funny and the heroes are cool. All the cops have some sort of unique ability or something that's "their thing". It reminds me some of G.I. Joe, on a much smaller scale of course- it's a fun cartoon. And a cool theme song. Very Happy Cool

I've started watching some of "It's Punky Brewster", the cartoon series based on the classic live action "Punky Brewster" sitcom from the '80s. I loved watching the cartoon as a kid, but funnily enough- I never saw any of the live action show. Only years later did I discover that there was a live action version where it started- now I'm trying to watch both shows on DVD. Very Happy Cool
Punky Power!

Nice! I love Turbo Teen! I definitely enjoyed seeing this as a kid in the '80s. I've seen an episode in recent years and it's still a fun show to watch. Very Happy Cool
(I'd love to see a DVD release happen.)
