And, is it me, or doesn't Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, singing that song at the end, look like she's high or drunk?

Sadly, that may be literally true. I believe I've read somewhere that Carrie Fisher was into drugs at that point in her life.

Quote:
Oddly, Chewbacca's wife and son, Mala and Lumpy, were played by males.

Chewbacca's son, Lumpy, was actually played by a female- Patty Maloney.
However, Chewie's wife, Malla, was indeed played by a male- Mickey Morton.

Incidentally, if you ever want to find more than you ever wanted to know about The Star Wars Holiday Special, I highly recommend this fan site:

Very Happy Cool

Paul Fusco (Creator of Alf) Holiday Specials:

-Crown of Bogg (1981) - Halloween Special
-Santas Magic Toy Bag (1983)
-Thanksgiving Tale (1983)
-The Valentines Day that nearly wasnt (1983) (Presumably lost aside from a few clips a certain Youtube user put up. Dont try hes a little bitch and wont trade/sell full copies. Fusco himself doesnt even have the master to this one!)

If anyone is interested I have the highest quality set of these Fusco Specials. None have ever been released on home video and stuff like 'Crown of Bogg' was only aired twice on Showtime channel back in 81-82! I have copies of these specials direct from Paul Fusco! They will never be officially released which is sad.

I thought you might be interested to know- I just noticed today that Paul Fusco's Christmas special is getting released to DVD!

http://www.amazon.com/Santas-Magic-Toy-Paul-Fusco/dp/B00N57H6SE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411737752&sr=8-1&keywords=Santa%27s+Magic+Toy+Bag

I'm a big fan of his most well known creation, ALF, and I love Christmas anyway- so this is cool to see. Very Happy Cool

Paul Fusco also had a special called "The Moonstone Gem" and that one did get released to VHS back in the early '80s.

I don't know if that celebrates any particular holiday, but here are two other holiday specials from Paul Fusco:

An Easter Story
Carl's Far-Out Fourth (presumably celebrating America's Independence Day)

Has there been any updated list?

I enjoy these lost classics but can't seem to find a complete listing for the other holidays.

For example one might list Tom and Jerry's Halloween Special but forgets the Tom and Jerry Thanksgiving Special.

I personally haven't done anything on this list in a while, but it's an ongoing thing that anyone can update at any point. I don't know if there are any further updates now, but you can always check the Wikipedia lists I think we have linked in here. The specialized Wikis for holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween and Easter particularly tend to be pretty good.
Here's the Christmas Specials Wiki and here's a Wiki for most all other holiday specials.

You are the best, MacGyver!

Great lists! Even April Fools. Ha Ha. I recorded Hey Arnold and Rocket Power April Fools Episodes years ago and had been looking for others.

Thank You!

Holidays in the 80s were incredibly special. I enjoyed watching 80s holiday shows, sitcoms and especially cartoons in the great 80s. I remember watching Yogi Bear's Christmas Special, that was a great show/movie that came on practically every Christmas. A few others I watched, are Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, He-man and She-ra Christmas Special, Pac-man Christmas.....I can go all day with this. Also, a Christmas show that came on that many may or may not remember was Mr. T and Webster Christmas Special. That was terrific.
