Can't Remember the name, had to do with a cyborg

Hey all,

I remember watching a show when I was a kid but can't remember the name. I remember it was a marathon session (6+) hours on a saturday or sunday so it could either be a series or a really long movie. Thought it might have been on cartoon network but I'm not sure if they were around back when I thought this show aired which was probably late 80's or early 90's.

Anyway here is what I remember.

A human is placed into a glass capsule in a lab with a fight going on, I think in space. His consciousness is transferred into a cyborg body and he sleeps for a number of years. When he wakes and is released, he journeys around the surface of the planet and finds the 'enemy' which I seem to remember that he would invade these factories making evil robots and destroy then.

I also remember there was a scene where he was stabbed in the back by another person with a dagger and his internal circuity was exposed.

He often wore a cloak I think.


That's about all I can remember. If any of you remember the name of this show please let me know.
