I think it came on the Disney or Family Channel. A group of kids that used a time machine to travel to certain points in human history. For some reason, the Aztecs and the Incas ring a bell. Although that could be a memory from some other cartoon altogether, I don't know.

Also, I have sparse memories of a biblical cartoon similar to above. Am I mixing all this up together??? Aaaggghh! Help! Thanks in advance.

I think you're referring to Hanna Barbera's "The Greatest Adventures: Stories From The Bible"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/index.html?curid=6860532
This was a series produced for and released on VHS video in the 1980s. Derek, Margo and Moki were three teenagers who would travel back in time to witness Biblical events first hand.
I love this series! I grew up watching it at church and they're still great to watch today. We've got some at our church library - you can probably find them at most any church library, really.
It covered many Old Testament events, like The Creation, Noah's Ark, Joseph and his brothers, Moses and the Israelites, Joshua and the Battle at Jericho, Samson and Delilah, David and Goliath, Jonah, Daniel in the Lions' Den, Esther and New Testament events like the birth of Jesus Christ, Jesus' miracles and of course, Jesus' crucifixion and Resurrection! Very Happy
Most, if not all, of the series is out on DVD now.

Thanks so much MacGyver! Using your info, I checked out wikipedia and sure enough I was mixing some things up. I do remember watching "The Greatest Adventures: Stories From The Bible". According to wiki, it first aired in 1985.

What I was thinking of, I believe, came out when I was a bit younger. And now I know it was called "The Flying House". It aired from 1982-1983 on CBN Cable (now called ABC Disney) and was about three friends that get lost in the woods and find a house owned by a professor that doubles as a time machine. They go back in time and witness events from the New Testament.

It's companion series was called "Superbook", airing from 1981-1983. I vividly remember this one about a young boy who discovers the magical Bible "Superbook" that speaks and sends him, his friend, and his toy robot back in time to the early events of the Old Testament.

Anyway, I would not have found all this without the info you gave me. It's no wonder I was mixing all these up --- they all have a very similar premise! Thanks so much for unlocking a mystery I've tried to solve for a long time! Anyone else interested in these please check out wikipedia... there's so much more info on these great programs located there.

No problem! Cool
I am somewhat familiar with "The Flying House" and "SuperBook"- I haven't really seen these myself but I do know they are some of the few Biblical anime shows I know of! Both those two and "The Greatest Adventures: Stories From The Bible" are definitely classics! Smile
