Well, the new design is up and appears to be stable. Yay!

I'm looking for cartoon researchers for the cartoons listed below (already claimed toons will be in bold, finished toons will be crossed out):

Please claim up to 3 cartoons and post their names below stating that you will do the research for these. (No duplicated efforts this way.) Then review the info I have for the cartoons you claimed. Do a little research on each one and post what you think should be in each section of the cartoon's page-Plot/info, pic, airing info, links, voices/actors, and news/facts. If it's necessary to correct information I have, please note the corrections and your source. Post that info here. I will then update the pages for these cartoons and cross them off the list.

Back in the days of the Super Mario Super Show, every Friday us Nintendo-cartoon-watching kids would be privy to a 'real treat' - the Legend of Zelda Cartoon! Well, most of us were split. Either we made sure to only watch Nintendo cartoons on Friday when Zelda was on, or we used that day to get ourselves away from the television. Some people liked the show, others hated it.

The Legend of Zelda is based on the Nintendo game of the same name. Link, the hero of Hyrule, along with Princess Zelda protect the Triforce of Wisdom from the evil forces of Gannon

First ep released in 1984 (Peril in Pits instead of Begining of Rainbowland according to the Big Cartoon Database. Creepy) I'm not sure what else you would like for this catagory. Let me know if you want any specifics

Corrections
Whisp should be Wisp (according to rainbowbrite.net)
The "Evil Force" played by Pat Fraley is probably refearing to "The King of Shadows" from the Begining of Rainbowland. (no other Evil Force in the cartoons or main move)
Narrator played by Peter Cullen. There is no actual narrator in the 13 eps or the Star Stealer movie. The only narrator there is are the ones in the Read-Along movies (probably the second one since the first one is a girl narrator). I'm not sure if you want to have this info although you do have one of the Narator stories as your second sound clip. Most likly Gloom Over Rainbowland from the second Read-Along movie. (has the basic plot of the first ep Perils in the Pits though, maybe just different name or something, one of the few rainbow brite things i haven't seen so i'm not sure)

Life's been crazy around here. Weekend trips, wedding showers, stolen purses (complete with checks and credit cards and cell phone), new PC to build (something that can better handle ripping eps from DVDs and maybe even from VHS!), work, and more.

So I finally got back around to updating cartoons. Thanks for the LoZ info, son goku. It's been posted. Great job on the RB info, teddy0bear. I'll get that posted, too, but later today. ^.^

Do you still want to keep your claims on the cartoons you wanted to research? There's some claimed that you haven't posted info for. Let me know or I'll open them back up to all.

There was definitely a narrator at at least one point in Rainbow Brite. I took the clip with the narrator right off a tape I have. It was basically a recap detailing what happened in the premier special. Even that one time is enough to put in the credit for the narrator. Thanks for the corrections. You're right about the Whisp/Wisp thing. I checked some other resources. It's wrong in my dead-tree reference. Also on the King of Shadows one. That sounded familiar when I read it, in fact. After a quick check, it appears to be correct as well.

That's a really cute site, btw. ^.^

"Far away in a distant galaxy, the people of the planet Prysmos lived in an age of great technology. They had taken control of all of the sources of energy, and enjoyed a life of comfort and ease for 7,000 years... but this was not to last, for the realignment of the three blazing suns of Prysmos signalled the end of the age of science and technology. When all of the electrical energy have been depleted from the world, an age of magic began. But it would take some time before man would believe this. Years passed, and as the old order collapsed a new more primitive order rose form the rubble. Knowing that the balance of power between Darkstorm and Leoric could easily be tipped, both frantically searched for a military advantage."
During the stalemate the wizard Merklynn offers a challenge to the two nations offering to teach magic any who survive the journey up his mountain. Only fourteen survived the journey and are rewarded with animal totems which are based off the traits they should during the quest. Those who carried a staff were granted further power. Each staff was granted a unique ability: Wisdom, Strength, Speed, Knowledge, Decay, Fear, Destruction, and Invulnerability. Those who didn't carry a staff were able infuse magical powers into vehicles and pilot them.
The surviors split into two graops: the Spectral Kights led by Leoric and the Darkling Lords led by Darkstorm and the battle for the world began a new.
