I'm man enough to admit that I enjoy some of those cartoons pretty well. I will say there are some that I don't like that much though.
Funny though how it's okay for girls to like cartoons with mainly male protagonists (He-Man, G.I. Joe, Transformers, etc.) but it's generally considered kinda wierd for boys to like cartoons with mainly female protagonists (She-Ra, Jem, Spider-Woman, etc.)
Even though there are some cartoons that are clearly marketed more towards boys or more towards girls, I find that I can usually enjoy either one without worrying too much about that. If the show is well written with good, fun characters- that should bring in viewers of both sexes, no matter who it's primarily written for- which is certainly the case with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
