Who else saw this underrated disney classic in theaters as a kid? i did when i was 5 back in 86 about 3 times, i had a few merchandise like stuffed Basil, readalong book with cassette and coloring book with stickers in it. I also had a crush on that cute mouse stripper chick and i even enjoyed watching it again when i was 10 years old in the 92 re-issue and even bought it on video thanks to paper route money savings.

I would like to say thank you for mentioning my second favorite Disney Cartoon. Lady and the Tramp is still my favorite, probably because I love dogs and the spagetti scene is still romantic to me.

As I was saying,

The Great Mouse Detective was seriously underrated and I am saddened that you can not find it in a lot of book movie references, WHERE IS THE DVD, my VHS died on me.

The end scene with Basil in the clockworks of Big Ben was a show of artistry in animation. They would do it now, but they would only use a computer and probably not make it quite as dark to be politically correct. I was on the edge of my seat as a kid.

So much for notifications.
I looked for it after my VHS (from the second release I think). It wasn't out.
Got it on order now.
Maybe more people will become interested and decide to watch
