The cartoon has a kid following a dragon at night into the forest where the dragon meets with others of its kind(it was a lot like in LOTR's where Treebeard and Ent's meet, but this involved dragons). At the end of the meeting some of the dragons turn into other things, one into a tree, another into a rock.
I also want to say that the kid follows train tracks and goes through a tunnel before reaching the forest, but I may be mistaken on this point.
