Hi there!
It's my first time posting here even though 80s Cartoons has been a great help for me when it comes to going back to my childhood, so, first of all, thanks a lot!!
Ok, I only have a really vague picture in my mind of this very old cartoon; I'm pretty sure it's a 70's cartoon, but I was born in 1985 and thus it's impossible to have watched it before that time. However, I'm talking about Spanish broadcasting here, so...
I can only remember two scenes of the intro (I'm pretty sure it was the intro), but I'll try to describe them as acurate as possible:
On the first one the main characters are walking through a cave from left to right of the screen. Main characters are a girl (15-17?), a boy (15-18?) and a kid (7?), plus a giant green worm -the size of the girl when "standing"- with two black dots for eyes; it could stretch itself like a chewing gum when needed. I can't recall anything about the guys, but I think the girl was wearing a not-so-revealing Barbarella-like brown suit (http://membres.multimania.fr/angel/Barbarella/Barbarella_Cover_art.gif).
On the second scene you could see the villain, an old hag/witch laughing hard. She reminds me of Flash Gordon's Ming (http://www.thecartoonarchive.com/images/defenders%20of%20the%20earth/Ming.jpg), green skin included.
Overall, the cartoon looked like any 70's cartoon -small, black eyes, slow/lack of movement and big, "stylish" lips for the girls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS_13sakfV8. I can't remember anything about the plot, sorry about that.
I have been looking through some threads here at Lost and Found and I have found The Magic Crown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhnxfkco6-w&feature=related) but, even though the elements are pretty much what I'm looking for, it has nothing to do with what I have in my head.

Zandor and Tara were adults not teens but
wild guess could it be?
The Herculoids
The Herculoids lived on a savage alien world that was often
on the verge of being conquered by various alien baddies.
Zandor was lord of this jungle world. He kept the invaders at
bay with help from his wife Tara and Dorno his son and his savage
alien animal friends.
Igoo the rock ape provided the muscle.
Zok the space dragon provided help from the air.
Tundro was a beast that was part rhino part triceratops.
It served as an armored living tank,
"a giant green worm -the size of the girl when "standing"- with two black dots for eyes; it could stretch itself like a chewing gum when needed."
and there were two
stretching amorphous creatures Gloop, and Gleep.

. This is not the cartoon I was looking for, but I'm starting to think that I have been mixing The Magic Crown and The Herculoids all along, seeing that nobody among friends and family seem to recall anything of the sort...
