|
|
I think this is an 80s cartoon, seeing as I watched it in the early 90s. I don't have much to go on. It may have been part of a larger series, perhaps on fairy tales or something similar.
All I can really remember about the story was it was about a boy who got knocked unconscious somehow or maybe went to sleep and found himself in another world and went on some adventures of some sort. It might have been with anthropomorphised animals, too, though I can't be 100% sure.
Forgive me for the sheer vagueness of it, but it's worth a shot, at least. Thanks!

| Nope, not quite. I believe it was more knocked out than fell asleep. Thanks for looking, though.

If it's a movie from the early '90s, perhaps it could be The Pagemaster, a 1994 live action/animated movie wherein Macualay Culkin plays a kid who meets a mysterious librarian (Christopher Lloyd) in an abandoned library when taking shelter from the rain one day, and finds himself going on an adventure in animated form with talking books that take him through classic literary worlds like The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Moby-Dick, etc.

Nilus the Sandman?
Nilus would put unsuspecting kids to sleep where they would go to another world where they would have an adventure and learn a lesson. Around 1991. There is apparently a lack of pictures/videos of this on the net
Here is one anyway it's actually an ep with a girl instead of a boy but hopefully its enough to figure out if it is the one or not.

A boy who may/or may not be unconscious
and animals,...
anymore info?
Another guess,
The Water-Babies
Tom, a poor chimmey sweep is exploited by a couple abusive thugs.
After they demand that he help them with a burglary he runs from
them and dives into a deep pool of water to escape. His animated
adventure begins underwater.

| It's not that either. I mean, the most info I can get is saying that I saw it in elementary school (which would make the cartoon at least 14 years old) on a big-screen tv, so it was on a video tape. It seemed more and more like the kid passed out more than anything.

Could it possibly have been Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland?
