This one's been racking my brains for years.
It used to air alongside a bunch of those old DiC cartoons on PAX TV in the late 90s (like Mario Bros and The Get-Along Gang).
A kid would wander into some old man's house. He'd shrink the kid and send them through this tiny door. On the other side there was a world of talking animals, and the kid would go on an adventure with them.
Ring any bells?

It's The Sylvanian Families.
