old alphabet cartoon on PBS

I posted this a while back and haven't found the answer. I did discover, though, that it played on PBS. This is going to drive me CRAAZYY!!!

I can't remember much about this old cartoon movie I watched as a kid except:

it taught the alphabet
there was a character that was something like the ghost of King Tut
there was an ostrich who sticks its head in the sand and other animals
there may have been a map of some kind
the main character was on some kind of quest
there was some kind of pyramid or cave or tunnel or something
there were treasure boxes containing possibly letters
"King Tut" sang an alphabet song to the tune of "Monster Mash"... I think...

Any ideas???
