can someone help me with this one?

i dont know how old this American cartoon is and i dont know its name but if u can tell me its name i will be very grateful i saw it about 10 years ago it might even be older then that...so im not sure
here is the story:
a group of foot ball players get into an accident when they where riding their buss(i don't know if their student or professionals but they where like high school jocks but they where like 20+ ). something happens to the buss and im not sure what but suddenly this football team find themselves in this fantasy world where the become knights and each knight has an animal or zodiac( i don't remember) on their shield. the head knight had a dragon on his shield and if i remember right these night could summon the animals on their shield to fight along side them. O and another thing these night are replacement for the old knights because the original knights where captured but this evil dude and they were frozen alive in some kinda basement.
this is all i could recall from the show if anyone can help me i will be very grateful
(try remembering a show u watched a decade ago, trust me its pretty difficult to remember)
